Saree is undoubtedly the most elegant attires a woman can put on. For me, saree is heritage & identity of an Indian woman. And of course, the most comfortable garment that is also a never going out of fashion. Draping is a fun experiment. Trying as many ways as possible. The essence changes with every system. It can be casual, festive & formal as per choice.
Since my childhood, I was so mesmerized by saree. Every young girl in India tries to her mother & learn draping. I decided to wear my mom’s saree this mother’s day to create a reflection of her & nothing impresses me more than the green saree with golden fiber work in it. The reason I picked this saree is that it is 24 years old. This saree was gifted during my mother’s after weddings rituals ceremony. What fascinated me most about this saree was its shine & glitter that symbolizes the charm that my mother still carries.
Although I love every color in sarees. The green color of this is an evergreen color of the evergreen relationship of marriage she had. The quality of saree maintained are like the qualities of old Indian women. Above all the way she still cared for this saree, is a mirror how an Indian woman holds the freshness of sentiments in her. This is our culture, this is us.
This is what I earned unique as being a daughter. I would love to cherish all this & shouting out ” a very happy mother’s day” to all my readers.
Gift her care, emotions & love instead of expensive ones. Trust me that is what your mother is seeking for!
