This Saturday I had a pleasant dining experience with the food of the most exquisite international flavors at ‘Pepper -The biggest roof top restaurant in Chhattisgarh.’
As you enter the place, you are welcomed by magnificent settings, a delightful peacock wall art & the luxuries of modernity. Sitting at any corner, you have a nice view of an open kitchen, where you can see the staffs working. For those who prefer roofs for sitting, there is a cozy lounge embraced with imported furniture. The ambiance starts it’s magic by dusk & goes on till late at night. The restaurant is at the top floor, the elevator says 6, which provides a sweeping view of the city all the way into the sky. Although there was live music but it is an occasional factor & I was lucky enough to had a visit on one of those days.
In the long list of rare features, the most unique one is having a ‘Gazebo’. This is an open air set up especially for sheesha lovers. This is a great place to grab some shade while still being able to soak up the sounds and smells of the vibrant aura of the place.

The menu offers a wide variety of mouth watering dishes. For starters, I had the BBQ chicken accompanied with Exotic Veggies, Zucchini & French Fries while my friend went for Quesadillas served with Salsa & Mayonnaise Dip. The dishes were exquisite and delicious. The main course consisted of Chicken Dum Biryani with Creamy Indian Raita and trust me, the raita had the warmth of homemade food. The chefs there, take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients, which really thrilled us. The thing which really impressed me was that the place is very budget friendly.
I recently complained that not enough restaurants in the city have serious dessert menus, but Pepper proved me wrong here. My lunch was followed by a delicious Mango Mousse served with a cherry on the top. The intensity of pie amazed me so much so that, you would be forgiven for thinking that your very soul is lost somewhere between its layers. This sums up my delicious and wonderful experience of the Pepper.
My motto is “To Make a Difference”. For me, the whole idea of having a restaurant is to serve the food from soul. I wish everyone who come here, to feel connected in some way or another. – Nikhil Arora
My rating :
The best restaurants have a special unforced ingredient. At Pepper, it’s the open roof, brunch and gazebo, which compliments the aura of the restaurant. With its huge glass windows,a room where only good things happen. The kitchen is housed in a faux shack of corrugated iron, all these setting of the room makes me feel like I am sitting in a Mumbai cafe.
This grand restaurant is an encouragement to grandiose in the city. So this holiday, let’s try Pepper.
