After watching one of the great Indian movie ‘Sanjog‘ this holiday, I got bit emotional & so this Mother’s day I am confessing this and wishing a very Happy Mother’s day to all aunts cause being an aunt is nothing less than a mother.
The little guy that made me an aunt has now turned 11 months old and it’s just 1 month 3 days left for my aunt anniversary. Yes, off-course after all ‘Naani’ (Grand Mother) and‘Maasi’ (Aunts) are moms too. There is no big difference that he can figure out in Ma, Maasi, and Naani. (In our case even by appearance ). And that momentous occasion, plus a lot of all-too-rare quality time with my nephew, got me thinking about the differences (and similarities) between being an aunt and being a mom.
We all have heard the tales of ‘Krishna‘s whole childhood, still, 70% of us know him by name of ‘Yashoda‘. Love is not bounded to the biological relationship so cheers to all single or mingle, married or unmarried, proud aunties. we promise all our niece and nephews that we will be always there for you till we breathe, no matter how many of our own children we give birth to.
